OVERVIEW

Cat Ba is the largest island in the Bay and approximately half of its area is covered by a National Park, which is home to the highly endangered Cat Ba langur. This golden-headed langur is rarely seen, as fewer than 100 specimens are thought to survive in the wild, although it is the subject of a well-organised conservation programme. The Park covers both land and marine areas and has a high biodiversity, although it is at risk from too rapid an increase in tourism. Other mammals in the Park include civet cats and oriental giant squirrels.

DETAIL ITINERARY

Day1: Hanoi – Halong (L,D)

08:00 - 8:30 AM: Pick up at your hotel, depart for Ha Long city. Short break in Hai Duong province (20 mins). 

11:45: Arrive in Halong

Lunch served while cruising and visitation of the largest cave of Halong Bay, Sung Sot cave. One hour of kayaking around Titop Island. Anybody who doesn’t choose to kayak can climb stairway to the top of Titop Island for a panoramic view of the Bay. Return to boat to rest and enjoy a Vietnamese seafood dinner. 

Spend a quiet night on the boat.

   

Day 2: Halong bay - Cat Ba (B,L,D)

Enjoy breakfast and cruising south towards Lan Ha bay with transfer boat. 

You  are then free and easy for swimming in Lan Ha bay. Short break for lunch.

In the afternoon, we will cycle 5 km through jungles to Whisper of Nature Bungalow, Viet Hai village.

Short trek inside Cat Ba National Park. Cycling through 5km back to the habour. Boarding transfer boat again and then heading to monkey island - the isolate island is now the home to wild monkeys and rare white headed langurs. 

Late afternoon the bus takes you to hotel in CatBa town.

Dinner and overnight in the hotel.

   

Day 3: Cat Ba - Halong Bay - Hanoi (B,L)

After breakfast, our bus will pick you up in the hotel at 7:30 – 8:00am to the wharf for cruising back to Ha Long city. Arrive in Ha Long city at approx. 12.00. 

After lunch in a local restaurant, drive back to Ha Noi. Short break in Hai Duong province about 20 minutes. Arrive in Ha Noi at approx. 16.30.
