Ha Thai village located in Duyen Thai commune, Thuong Tin district, Ha Noi. Ha Thai lacquer ware products are made with a centuries-old technique of applying and polishing layer upon layer of Vietnamese lacquer (Rhus Succedanea). Combined with egg shell and mother-of-pearl inlays, the lacquer ware found here comes in thousands designs and models. Among the most common are boxes, trays, vases, pots, albums, lamp-shades, plates and paintings. Each product is not only pleasing to the eye, but also useful and durable.
Ha Dong silk village is known as Van Phuc silk village, Van Phuc, Ha Dong, Hanoi. It is far about 10 kilometer from the center of Hanoi. This is the most famous silk village from ancient time; there are many patterns and long-stand of Vietnam. Van Phuc silk is selected under the reign of the Nguyen. Located on the Nhue River, Van Phuc silk village retains many features ancient such as the well, lotus flower, tree... Van Phuc silk village has reputation with silk weaving tradition.

TOUR PROGRAM
08.00: Car and tour guide pick you up at the hotel in Hanoi, depart for Van Phuc silk village which is the only place in the North of Vietnam making silk. You will then discover the only family who made the costumes for the Kings, Queens and mandarins of the last Feudalism of Vietnam. And then you will go to Van phuc Silk market.
12.00: Have lunch at the local restaurant.
13.00: We will depart to visit Ha Thai Lacquer village. Today, our local non- tourism trained craftmen would show you the way to make the traditional handicraft which is normally made by wood or rattan. Discovering the time it would be to be able to finish one single product and the true value of the most unique craft of Vietnam.
