Over 80 delegations have confirmed their participation in the second Thai Nguyen – Vietnam Tea Festival, scheduled to take place in the northern province of Thai Nguyen from November 9-11.
The organising board announced at a press conference today that the registered attendees include 57 tea companies and tea villages in Thai Nguyen, 24 tea growing localities from around the country and three international invitees.
The three-day event features a wide range of activities, including a tea culture festival, a tea carnival, a seminar on tea products and investment promotion and a ‘Miss Tea Land’ contest.
A photo exhibition highlighting Thai Nguyen’s tea, landscapes and people and a village market featuring tea products and specialties of ethnic minority cultures will also be held during the festival.
“Preparations for the festival have basically been completed, including embellishing urban landscapes and tea villages in Thai Nguyen city, and building a ‘Tea Street’ in the municipal centre,” Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Committee and head of the organising board Ma Thi Nguyet said at the press briefing.The organising board announced at a press conference today that the registered attendees include 57 tea companies and tea villages in Thai Nguyen, 24 tea growing localities from around the country and three international invitees.

The biennial festival is held to introduce and honour Thai Nguyen tea and tea growers while contributing to the preservation and promotion of the tangible and intangible cultural values of Thai Nguyen tea. It also offers an ideal platform for domestic and foreign tea producers to exchange experience on tea cultivation and processing.
