Day 1: Sai Gon Arrival
You are met guide and driver at the airport and then transferring to Sai Gon centre to check in hotel. The rest of day you are free & easy. Overnight at the hotel in Sai Gon
Day 2: Sai Gon Half Day – Cu Chi Tunnels (B, L)
Breakfast at hotel. Then we drive to Cu Chi Tunnels (70km from Sai Gon) was created around 1948 to assist Viet Minh in their combat with the French. Building continued over the next 25years until it was an underground city with living areas, kitchens, storage, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centers. In places, it could house up to 10,000 people who virtually lived underground for years…. getting married, raising children. During the American War the entire area of Cu Chi was designated a free fire zone and was heavily bombarded. From 1988, two sections of tunnels have been opened up for visitors. Back to Sai Gon and have lunch at the local restaurant. In the afternoon, you will visit the Notre Dame Cathedral and the General Post Office. Travel along Dong Khoi street, see the Opera House and the Peoples’ Committee building built in 1897 by French architect Ferret Eugene, the 800 seat Opera House was used as the home of the Lower House Assembly of South Vietnam after 1956, continue to visit The Reunification Palace (Ex-Presidential Palace) which was the former residence of the President of South Vietnam until end of April 1975. Day 3: Sai Gon – Mekong Delta Day trip (B, L)
After having breakfast at the hotel and then departing at 08:30 am to Ben Tre, on arrival in Hung Vuong Pier (Ben The town). Take a boat on Ben Tre river – one of tributaries of Mekong river, sight-seeing lively activities along river as fishing, water transferring…Stop at brickwork to see how to make bricks in handy traditional style by printing and baking, visit one of plenty of coconut processing workshops located along canal. Turn on natural scissors creeks where they look smaller and smaller to go to village.
Take a bicycle-cart on the village paths, stop at farmer house for lunch. Continue walking in sleepmats village and then take rowing-boat along water palm creek and boat back to Hung Vuong Pier. We return to Sai Gon, stopping off along the way to see the beautiful Vinh Trang Pagoda. Overnight at the hotel in Sai Gon
Day 4: Sai Gon Departure (B)
Breakfast at hotel. Free & easy until transfer to the airport for the next destination. End of services
