My Son located at Duy Phu commune, Duy Xuyen district, Quang Nam province wiht
more than 70 buildings in architectural construction by stone and brick, built
from the 7th century to the 13th century, My Son became the center of the most
important architect of the Kingdom of Champa.
My Son Sanctuary is an architectural complex of ancient
temples of the Cham. This was sacred Hindu land with more than 70 temples built
between VII-XIII centuries. The King chose the My Son Cham ago to the capital
is probably due to the sacred nature of this land.
Through the historic inscriptions and ancient dynasties
shows: My Son is the most important sanctuary of the Cham people during the
late fourth century to century XV. With its historical and cultural value,
aesthetic, My Son Sanctuary was chosen as UNESCO world cultural heritage in
1999.
