Village Eco - Tourism in Hoi An

Located on the bank of Thu Bon River in Dien Bien District, Quang Nam Province covering 13,447 m2 on a large sand dune, Triem Tay Village is one of the new eco- tourist, was built in June 2009 and nowaday it is very famous for domestic and foreign tourists.

From Hoi An fishing port, visitors will take 15 minutes to arrive Triem Tay Village. With about 147 households in this village and their local people lives depend on weaving mats, farming and fishing. The main architecture of Triem Tay eco-tourism village is based on the rural community, so there are many ancient wooden houses, tranquil garden houses and bamboo huts for visitors to enjoy beautiful river landscape. The main roads of village been decorated by growing green fences of tea bushes and colourful flowers instead of concrete walls. So, the road in village always has many green tree and violet flowers and the alleys in the village were named after flower and plant species.

 

The village covers 17ha, 30 per cent of wich are vegetable farms, with a 5,000sq.m community garden to grow vegetables and aromatic herbs as a stop for tourists. Visitors can explore farming skills and experience rural work with farmers, sedge mat weaving also is a major part of the community's culture... From a change in the river a long time ago creates a large space for tourists exploring rural lifestyles and night camping. The islet also makes a channel for tourists to fish, raft and paddle in bamboo boats.
